The authorization remains valid for 5 years or until the associated passport expires, whichever occurs first.

 Completing the Canada eTA online application form is a simple process. Applicants provide personal details, passport information, and contact details, along with answering a few basic questions about their background, including medical history.

Upon approval, the eTA is electronically linked to the traveler’s passport.

If you already hold a valid consulate visa for Canada, there’s no need to apply for an eTA.
